Chloe by YumeFukurou Chloe by YumeFukurou
Well, gentlemen.
This is one of my first tries using watercolors^^
Despite I still have to get used to it, I enjoy drawing with them sooooo much.

Girl's name is Chloe [Hl'oe], sge is my OC from one of my wip-stories. You may have already known her from my previous pictures.
So. She is cheerful, fragile and strong, fond of trees, flowers and .. the whole nature, actually.

Hope you enjoy!

Tools: mechanical pencil for the lines, watercolors for the coloring, after-scan fix up in PS.

Chloe (c) Baiyuun.

A lovely, gentle paint. If I may say, you did a great job with clours and shadows, and the result is very pleasant. The yellow background was a nice touch, because it adds a bit of much needed contrast to the soft colours of her dress, hair and skin. And I love the plants at her feet - they call the watcher's eyes to the ones in her hands, and the effect is very nice!

Awe, she is too cute! I love the simplistic style of the character and clothing. And I'd say you did pretty damn well on the watercolor! This is your first time? Kind of hard to believe!

Awww thank you!
I like to stylize characters, actually u don't need too many tiny things to express your feelings, do you?)
It's one of, really. But I use markers quite often. It can seem so different, but those two mediums have so much in common.

I wish I could reply, "I totally know what you mean!" but gosh, as much as I love watercolor, they never come out the way I expect them to. I've been working with acrylic and markers recently. But I still have a long way to go with both.
